A path we take step by step:

Calculating our emissions

When calculating our carbon footprint, we took into account all emissions throughout the company - from trips to our customers and internal events and training to our office equipment and technical infrastructure.

Step 1.

Avoiding and reducing emissions

We take great care to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible by keeping travel to a minimum, using sustainable means of transport, avoiding unnecessary consumption and incentivizing responsible behavior.

Step 2.

Compensation through support of climate protection projects

In order to achieve climate neutrality, we offset residual emissions that we can neither avoid nor reduce through gold standard certified climate protection projects.
As part of this climate compensation, grandega supports several UN renewable energy projects.

Wind Project

Goal of the project:

Generating electricity from wind to reduce greenhouse
gas (CO2) emissions

Benefits of the project:

1. Creation of direct and indirect jobs and thus an increase
in living standards in the region
2. Overcoming the acute shortage in Pakistan's energy supply
3. Avoiding air pollution from fossil fuel power plants and
significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions
4. Important transfer of technical know-how to Pakistan and
thus a pioneering role in the spread of wind power projects

India: Biomass Power Project 20MW
at Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd.

Goal of the project:

Electricity generation from renewable biomass residues,
i.e. rice husks, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (CO2)

Benefits of the project:

1. Creation of direct and indirect jobs and thus an increase
in living standards in the region
2. Improving economic conditions in the region
3. Electricity generation through available biomass potential
that would otherwise remain unused (rotted or burned)
4. Replacing part of the electricity generated in the network
from predominantly fossil fuels such as brown coal and gas
5. Lighthouse effect of the project and pioneering role for
other biomass plants

China: National Bio Energy
Changtu Biomass Power Plant

Goal of the project:

Use of biomass residues (mainly agricultural biomass
residues - corn stover) for electricity generation

Benefits of the project:

1. Creation of direct & indirect jobs and thus increasing
the standard of living in the region
2. Increasing the economic performance of the region
3. Avoiding air pollution from fossil fuel power plants and
significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions
4. Lighthouse effect of the project & pioneering role for
other biomass plants

grandega has purchased CO2 shares (certificates) from climate protection projects in the amount of the determined amount and is thus making a visible contribution to the realization of these projects. This ensures that your own CO2 emissions are compensated and the increase in global warming is curbed.
