Starting situation:
The customer has been using SAP ECC for about 20 years. Now it was time for a transformation to S/4 HANA. The focus was on preventing typical challenges of a transformation, if possible in advance, by selecting the best possible implementation partner and mitigating implementation risks.
This is how we proceeded:
- Application of the grandega “Sourcing Funnel” from vendor strategy, sourcing, vendor relationship management through to contract management.
- Derivation of a vendor strategy from the corporate strategy and alignment with the corresponding customer requirements.
- Conducting requirements workshops with all specialist departments and continuous communication of progress with all relevant stakeholders.
- Preparation and publication of Request for Interest (RfI) and Request for Proposal (RfP) documents.
- Preparation of the final negotiations with the project core team and the customer purchasing department.
