Initial situation:

Extensive Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are necessary for onboarding new merchants to a payment transaction solution. A key part of these checks is obtaining and validating the dealer’s business registration. The subsequent processing of the business registration was a manual task in the onboarding team, involving many steps and individual validations. This requires specific knowledge of the recorded data and their connections. Not least due to the often poor quality of the documents submitted, many queries and process terminations were the order of the day. The result was a backlog of product launches with a correspondingly negative business impact.

This is how we proceeded:

  • Customer-centered consideration of processes and problem areas
  • Analysis of the regulatory framework
  • Carrying out product research on the market
  • Definition of selection criteria and execution of a proof of concept with two platforms
